I’ve always loved story-telling and knew I wanted to have a creative career ever since I was a little girl. I became a published author when I was 11 years old when an article I wrote for a writing contest got published in a NYC magazine called Weekly Reader. I continued writing as I grew up and got published in other literary magazines and projects in middle school, high school, and college. Now I’m the president of my college magazine Most of my career journey began in college. As a senior year student now, I am on my fifth internship! I have a bit of a non-traditional career trajectory since I am in the entertainment industry. I started out with marketing and social media internships, then last summer, I landed my first gig as a TV Editorial Journalist intern for Celebrity Page TV on Reelz Channel. I also worked a second job as a Media Sales/Advertising Intern for StackCommerce, an LA tech start-up. Then just a few months ago, I landed a professional internship with The Walt Disney Company. My current role is in Acquisitions and Partnerships, where I get to work with an amazing team on movie deals (co-productions, straight and enhanced acquisitions, etc.) I get to help review materials, read movie scripts, go to great events and meetings, and more! Even over Zoom because of the pandemic, I am still learning so much about the industry and am very blessed and thankful for this opportunity. I hope that your powerful project goes amazing and can help empower other women and girls to follow their dreams and not listen to what anybody says otherwise!
